The Feast of Santa Rosalia
The Feast of Santa Rosalia takes place daily from now through August 30th. Admission is free, but the rides will require a small fee. The festival takes place at 18th Avenue between 68th and 75th Street. There will be live music, shows, food, and more! On Sunday, August 30th there will be a procession through the streets of Bensonhurst at 2pm.
Japan Village Summer Festival
The Japan Village Summer Festival will take place on Saturday, August 29th from 1pm to 6pm. Admission is free and the festival is happening at 934 Third Avenue. You and your whole family can enjoy cultural events, live games and entertainment, food, and tons of prizes! There is even a contest where you could win round -trip tickets to Japan!
Back To School Community Cleanup & Celebration
The Back-to-School Community Cleanup and Celebration is happening Sunday, August 30th from 1pm to 4pm. Admission is free and the event is happening at Fulton Park on 70 Chauncey Street. Organized and hosted by Trash Talk NYC and The Service Collection, this youth event brings the community together to clean the sidewalks of Bed-Stuy. All supplies will be provided, and the event lasts about an hour and a half. Afterward, there will be a celebration at a nearby venue with free food and drink, as well as school supplies! All kids under the age of 13 must have a guardian present.
Family-Friendly Concert – Live at Dreamsong
Dreamsong will be hosting a family-friendly live open recording session with local musician Lahna Deering on Sunday, August 30th from 6:30pm to 8pm, and admission is $10. The Dreamsong Music Lab is located at 743 Delkab Avenue. Everyone is welcome, and you can see the entire performance while it is being recorded! The set is typically about a half hour.
