Summer is here, and this means tons of fun events and activities happening across our city! In today’s blog, Brooklyn Periodontics and Implantology talks about fun community events happening in our city this weekend. We also want to remind people about keeping smiles healthy and full with periodontic care and implant dentistry.
Family Fun Day
Family Fun Day at Betsy Head Park will take place today from noon until 3pm. The event is free and takes place at the Betsy Head Memorial Playground on 158 Dumont Avenue. There will be tons of carnival style games to enjoy, as well as face painting, arts and crafts, treats like cotton candy and popcorn, music, and more! The event is open to everyone, so bring the entire family.
Family Arts Festival
The Family Arts Festival will take place on Saturday, June 27th from 10am until 1pm. This is a free event that will happen at the Bechdel project Studios on 252 Green Street, on the third floor. This is a fun event for all ages, and grownups too, and you can arrive for a single activity or stay for the whole thing. There will be an Arts and Crafts station, Children’s Improv with Ally Ibach, an Interactive Read Along, and a Dance Workshop with Manatsu Tanaka. A great day for the whole family to enjoy!
Carnival Festival
Tropicalfete’s Carnival Festival will take place on Sunday, June 28th at the Brooklyn Public Library Central Library location on 10 Grand Army Plaza. The event is free and celebrates all things Caribbean-American, with food, live music, cultural demonstration, carnival costumes, activities, and more.
Waterfront Walks
Waterfront Walks will take place on Sunday, June 28th at Brooklyn Bridge Park on 334 Furman Street. This is a free guided walking tour that talks about the history of the waterfront. You can learn about local ecology and more, and the walk usually lasts about an hour to 90 minutes. The Sunday walk will take place from 10:30am until noon. Be sure to register ahead of time and watch the weather!
