Empire Skate of Mind
What says winter fun like ice skating? You and your little ones can enjoy ice skating with Empire Skate of Mind! You can enjoy a session today from 2pm to 5pm, every Wednesday through Friday. They are also open on weekends, and you can skate from 10am until 5pm. Admission is $15, and skate rental is $10. Admission is only $8 if you bring your own skates. This will take place at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum, located on 145 Brooklyn Avenue.
You and your kids will skate on the rooftop terrace of the children’s museum, and enjoy disco music and fun décor that is reminiscent of the legendary Empire Roller Rink of the neighborhood’s bygone days. Admission also lets your kids explore the museum, and see everything wonderful the museum offers for kids of all ages!
Space Glide at the New York Hall of Science
You and your kids can also enjoy a space glide skating experience at the New York Hall of Science on 4701 11th Street. This takes place from Wednesday through Sundays 10am until 5pm now through February 22nd. Admission is included with the museum’s $19 to $22 general admission, and is $6 for Cool Culture pass holders. Skating is only $6 during free admission hours each Friday from 2pm to 5pm. The indoor rink is made of a fake and eco-friendly polymer-based materials, and does not require skates at all! Kids can and adults can glide on booties, and this is fun for people of all skill levels. There will also be projections of deep space too.
