Wake Up and Dance
Your family can enjoy Wake Up and Dance with Suzi Shelton on Saturday, October 4th from 10am until 11:30am. Admission is $15 per person, or $45 for a family four pack. The indoor concert series for kids from babies to age eight. There will also be refreshments available for purchase. Doors open at 10am, story time is at 10:15am, and the concert is from 10:30am until 11:30am. The dance party takes place at ShapeShifter Lab at 837 Union Street.
Free Canoe Rides
You and your family can enjoy Free Canoe Rides on Newtown Creek on Saturday, October 4th from noon to 4pm. The event is free! This is the final paddle event of the season from the Community Canoeing Public Paddle series. You can enjoy a half hour trip guided by trained professionals in 29-foot voyageur canoes. The trip goes down the East River with the view of Manhattan along the way. Open to all ages, taking place at MASE Park on 1205 Manhattan Avenue.
Mid-Autumn Fest
The NYC Mid-Autumn Festival takes place on Saturday, October 4th from noon to 11:30pm. Admission is $28.52. You can enjoy a day of celebration of the Asian-American community, with music, dance, food, comedians, and more! The event takes place at 345 Adams Street.
Madame Morbid Trolley Tours
For some Halloween season fun, you can enjoy a ride on Madam Morbid’s Trolley Tours from Wednesdays through Sundays at 7pm and 9am, and on Saturdays and Sunday at 4pm from now through November 9th. Admission is $59 to $69. You can see historic haunted houses, cemeteries, battlefields, and more! Learn about famous ghost stories and more. This is an award-winning tour, and one that has become a tradition for the community. The journey starts at 510 Driggs Avenue.
