Read Aloud in the Park
You can bring your kids in for a Read Aloud in the park event on Saturday, August 10th from 10am until noon. Hosted by The Sunshine Corner, this is free and open for the whole family. You can stop by, chat, read, and even pick a free book for your little one. This event will take place at Prospect Park Long Meadow on 95 Prospect Park West.
Kel’s Burger Fest
Bring your family to Kel’s Burger Fest on Saturday, August 30th, open from 11am until 2pm, 2:45pm until 5:5pm, and 6:30pm until 9:30pm. Tickets are $24 and the festival takes place at BK Backyard Bar on 151 Banker Street. Enjoy amazing burgers and some 90s nostalgia with Kel Mitchell of Kenan and Kel and the movie Good Burger. There will be dance battles, an orange soda chugging contest, live trivia, and music. There is also a retro video game lounge, a vintage flea market, and burger vendors from all over the city!
CREA Drop Off Adventure
Give yourself a little break and give your kid a chance to enjoy a fun time at the CREA Drop Off Adventure on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 6pm. Admission is $35 and the event takes place at Industry City on 220 36th Street. This is a fun and immersive 60-minute experience for kids that offers fun games and more. The whole area, including the floors and walls, features projected motion-controlled games for kids to enjoy. This is open for kids as young as three and as old as eight.
