The Maria Hernandez Farmers Market takes place on Saturday from 8am until 3pm. Admission is free and the market is located at the Maria Hernandez Park on Knickerbocker Avenue. You can buy affordable and local produce, including heirloom chiles, Mexican herbs, mushrooms, sourdough bread and other baked goods, local honey, olive oil, sake, and more. Open Jam Session
You and your family can enjoy an open bluegrass jam session on Saturday June 28th from 1pm to 3pm. The event is free and takes place at the East Fourth Street Community Garden at 171 East 4th Street. All skill levels are welcome, so bring your banjo, guitar, or ukulele. Kids can dance along and even touch the instruments after the session.
BWAC Art Shows
The Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition is hosting four new exhibits focused on the natural world. These can be seen on Saturday Nune 18th and Sunday June 29th and admission is free! The show takes place at 481 Van Brunt Street.
