Black Inventors Museum
The Black Inventors Museum is coming to Brooklyn on February 21st through the 23rd, and on February 28th through March 2nd, from 11am until 8pm. Admission is free! This event celebrates the history of Black inventors, with live demonstrations, discussions, and interactive exhibits for kids of all ages to enjoy! This will take place at 1609 North Delaware Avenue.
Black History Month Sing-A-Long
The Brooklyn Conservatory of Music will be hosting A Black History Month Family Singalong and Celebration on Friday, February 21st from 4pm to 4:45pm. This will be an interactive event with educational and multimedia displays and performances, and is perfect for kids ages two to six and their families. This will take place at 58th Seventh Avenue.
K-5 Poetry Workshop
For only $5, you can let your kids take a K through 5th grade Poetry Workshop on Saturday, February 22nd from 10:30am until 11:15am. Hosted by the Poetry Society, this workshop is taught by poet Asiya Wadud and assisted by experienced K through 5th educators. The event is located at 1609 North Delaware Avenue.
Wuffy and the Magic Lint Ball
The Marine Park Alliance presents Just for Kids: Wuffy and the Magic Lintball on Saturday February 22nd from 11am until noon. Admission is free! Children’s author Helen Rogosin will be reading about Wuffy, a grumpy and lovable creature who teaches everyone about imagination and friendship. There will also be puppet making and kids can create their own story. There will also be plush toys and books available, all signed by the author. A great way to bond with your little one!
